If the carrier delivers the parcel to an access point, an email will be sent with the pickup details. Collection must take place from the access point within 4-5 business days.

Same-Day Delivery in Washington, DC.

We also provide same-day delivery to Washington, DC. The same-day delivery fee is $50, and orders must be placed before 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. Same-day delivery is available Monday-Friday.

 

We Ship at Your Request

Title to and ownership of wine purchased from this website passes from Essential Media, LLC to the purchaser in the District of Columbia.

 

The risk of loss for all purchased items also passes from Essential Media, LLC to the purchaser in the same manner and at the same time title passes to the purchaser. Essential Media, LLC does not convey or intimate the right of any person to transport beverage alcohol across any state border. The purchaser takes all responsibility for the shipping of his or her wine from the District of Columbia to his or her home state. At the purchaser’s request, Essential Media, LLC will arrange delivery of the wine. In doing so, Essential Media, LLC is providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser.

 

By utilizing this service, the purchaser represents that he or she is acting in a manner compliant with his or her state and local laws regarding the purchase, transport and delivery of wine. The purchaser represents that he or she has obtained any required permission, paid any required fees, is working through properly licensed intermediaries where required, is legally entitled to take possession of wine, is legally entitled to take quantities ordered, and certifies that he or she is at least 21 years of age. Essential Media, LLC reserves the right to choose any and all procedures, packaging and transporter of sold merchandise. Essential Media, LLC assumes no liability for breach of any regulation by the purchaser. Essential Media, LLC assumes no liability for any misinterpretation of the above provisions.

 

Shipping Conditions

During times of inclement weather, either extreme heat or extreme cold, Fizzesse reserves the right to delay shipments until conditions improve. Please be advised that Fizzesse is not responsible for items damaged due to extreme weather conditions.

 

 

Age Requirement

You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase wine gifts. By placing an order through our website, you are representing yourself to us as at least 21 years of age. We reserve the right to ask for proof of identity before processing an order. An adult (over the age of 21) signature with proof of age verification is required at the time of delivery. Please be aware that someone over the age of 21 must be available to sign for the package.

 

 

Delivery Address Guidelines

 Please complete all applicable fields.

  • A phone number is required. We do not deliver to P.O. boxes, APO addresses, or outside the United States.

  • For orders that include wine or champagne, an adult signature is required upon delivery

  • Please use an address where you know the recipient or another adult will be available to sign for the parcel

  • For deliveries to companies, we will deliver at the reception desk during normal business hours. The name of the recipient is always on the box, so the recipient can easily be informed. The delivery from the reception desk to the recipient is the responsibility of the company.


 

Carrier and Delivery Times

We use UPS or FedEx ground service as our main shippers for shipping beverages outside of Washington, DC. Ground service takes approximately 1-6 business days in transit. Please note that Ship Day, Saturday, Sunday and all holidays are not transit days. 

Additional shipping options (such as 3 Day Select or 2nd Day Air) are available on customer special request.

 

​All non-subscription orders will be confirmed via email and processed within one business day. We will contact you by the end of the next business day if there are any problems with your order. You will be promptly notified by email of any unexpected delays in processing and/or shipping. 

With the volume that any shipping carrier delivers on any given day throughout the world, there are some packages that simply do not reach their destination within the expected timeframe. It is disappointing when this happens, however, we cannot provide a financial guarantee on another company’s performance. We trust you will understand.

 

Shipment Schedule

Fizzesse subscriptions get sent out the first week of each month. Members who purchase a Fizzesse subscription on or prior to the 1st day of the month will be included in the next scheduled monthly subscription shipment. Customers who purchase a Fizzesse subscription after the 5th day of the month will be included in the following month's subscription shipment.

 

Our Responsibilities

Fizzesse.com accepts responsibility for the timely delivery of your order in accordance with your selected shipping method.

 

We are not responsible for failed deliveries when:

 

  • The customer provides an incorrect or outdated address.

  • The gift recipient is on vacation and/or not available.

  • The customer does not promptly (within 24 hours) provide a corrected or new delivery address.

  • The parcel was not retrieved from an access point within 4-5 business days.

  • Severe weather conditions occur (snow, ice, floods, etc.)

If the delivery company has to return a gift for any of the above reasons (except for severe weather conditions), neither the gift nor the shipping will be refunded.

 

However, the customer may request to reship the gift if he or she agrees to pay for shipping a second time. If the address was incorrect or outdated at the first delivery attempt, we will only reship the gift if a new delivery address is provided by the customer. Please note that an extra fee will apply if the customer wishes to reship items.

 

 

Shipping Notes

An adult signature (over the age of 21) with proof of age verification is required for delivery. Any request made to leave a package without the signature will be ignored, and no exceptions will be made. If you are unable to sign for a wine shipment at the time of delivery, you can arrange to pick up your package at a local UPS/FedEx facility or secure locker. UPS/FedEx will generally hold a package for 5 business days for will-call pickup.

 

Any shipping charges are nonrefundable if packages are returned due to incorrect addresses or unavailable receivers (in both cases, the shipper will contact the receiver or sender to remedy the situation; it is the responsibility of the receiver to provide the correct shipping address and sign for the package). There will also be a reshipping fee if the package needs to be reshipped or a change of address must be made.

Billing Information

Orders placed on this website are not final. Your credit card is not charged automatically. A charge is put on your credit card after the product has been packed and the order is deemed complete. Please note that all credit cards are verified. You must provide a billing address that corresponds to the credit card you are using. If the billing address does not match the credit card, you will be informed, and the order will not be processed until we hear from you.
