My journey kicked off in 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic. Just like so many others, we were missing out on family birthdays and Christmases. But even with all the distance, I really wanted to send unique, thoughtful gifts to let our family know they were in our thoughts.

 

So, I ordered a spa gift set for my sister-in-law. But then I accidentally typed in the WRONG shipping address. Yep, that spa set ended up on my doorstep. And I'm so glad it did!

 

I ripped open the box (at first I didn’t realize it was meant for my family!). And what I found was… well, less than delightful. A cheap plastic container, products in plastic bottles, and a bunch of styrofoam at the bottom to make it look fuller. And then I checked the labels – everything was a chemical soup. It would have been so embarrassing if that had gone to my family.

 

But that mishap sparked an idea. I knew there were amazing 'bath artists' out there – the folks in your neighborhood, in my neighborhood, and in little corners all over the world. These aren't faceless corporations; these are real people, often working from their homes, garages, or farms. They support their families and local communities with creations made with love and with ingredients you know and trust.

 

Our mission at FIZZESSE is to shine a spotlight on these incredible bath artists – all small producers in their regions. We want the whole world to discover their fantastic work and enjoy luxurious, natural gifts that are an absolute delight to experience and share.

 

And who’s on my dream team, you ask? There’s my hubby Kirk, and our chief packing supervisors, Arthur and Simon who personally inspect (and occasionally nap on) every single box before it heads out.
